Fiddler is a proxy whose objective is to debug any problem with the HTTP traffic between your computer and Internet. The different tabs that the program’s interface is divided into will let you quickly access the statistics of every Web page that you visit, or the so-called 'inspector', thanks to being able to see the contents of every request and response in the corresponding different formats. A great free solution. Fiddler has an option for performance testing built-in. The beauty of this feature is that it lets you see the ‘total page weight’. Fiddler is a powerful, and customizable tool for web developers. You can choose to use many languages. Using FiddlerScript and powerful extensions can be done with any.NET language. Who will not love watching HTTP traffic in and out of their websites? As the traffic improves, the site reach will also improve. If you want to monitor your site traffic to make decisions about the next update or to plan the next blog, HTTP Debugger will help you. Watch out the site traffic and monitor the performance in one go! The cookies settings, the sessions, and even the minute. Fiddler allows you to inspect traffic, set breakpoints, and 'fiddle' with incoming or outgoing data. Fiddler includes a powerful event-based scripting subsystem, and can be extended using any .NET language.
Fiddler is freeware and can debug traffic from virtually any application that supports a proxy, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and thousands more. You can also debug traffic from popular devices like Windows Phone, iPod/iPad, and others.
Web Session Manipulation
Edit web sessions easily:just set a breakpoint to pause the processing of the session and permit alteration of the request/response. Compose your own HTTP requests and run them through Fiddler.
Performance Testing
Fiddler lets you see the “total page weight,” HTTP caching and compression at a glance. Isolate performance bottlenecks with rules such as “Flag any uncompressed responses larger than 25kb.”
Customizable Free Tool
Benefit from a rich extensibility model, ranging from simple FiddlerScript to powerful extensions which can be developed using any .NET language.

Documentation
We believe documentation is best when the content is a product of collaboration between the builders and consumers of that product. Everybody can play a role in making our documentation better, and we encourage you to help us with that task in the way that you choose:
- Send FeedbackUse the Was this article helpful? functionality to give us feedback and ideas on how we can improve the documentation. Alternatively, you could request a feature or report a bug using the Fiddler Everywhere Feedback Portal.
- Create an IssueIf you find an issue with our docs that needs addressing, the best way to let us know is by creating an issue in our Github repository. When creating an issue, please provide a descriptive title, be as specific as possible, and link it to the documentation article. If you can provide a link to the closest anchor to the issue, that is even better.
- Send a Pull RequestCreating an issue is great, but what we love are pull requests. So, if you find an issue in the docs, or even feel like creating new content, we’d be happy to have your contributions! In order to do this, you must fork our documentation and submit a pull request. That way, you may contribute an update exactly where you found the error. After that, our technical writing team will need to approve your change request. Please use only standard markdown. For more detailed instructions, please follow the contribution instructions published in GitHub. You could directly initiate a pull request by using the Improve this article functionality.
